Always having a busy day, week or month? Working too much does not always equate to productivity. Instead, there's a high possibility it will lead you to burnout.
On occasion, we are required to be productive at work and in our daily lives. Sometimes it is ourselves who pressure us to be productive. But is it healthy to always push ourselves to our limits? You probably already know the answer, yet act the opposite. You are not alone. You might want to ask yourself “do I still get to take care of myself despite being busy or am I unconsciously neglecting my health?”
It will only give you discomposure if you continue working with a clouded mind. You might think “I need to finish this today” but you haven't had enough sleep or haven't gone eating yet. Some are used to it, some are not. Either way, it’s not the best thing to do—pushing yourself to keep being productive even when your body says no. It is known that doing it when you are tired will only result in poor performance. One way to be productive, and not neglect yourself is to practice time management, organizational skills, and the like. Make a schedule, stick to it, and avoid procrastinating.
Remember that productivity is different for every individual. Do not push yourself to be productive at this time of the day just because someone you know gets a lot of work done at that time. Productivity works on your schedule.
Some may find it best to work in the morning, some in the afternoon, and some in the evening. You have to find the right schedule to be productive. Also, you have to have a routine that will work for you. Keep in mind that our bodies work differently. Do not be pressured to do the same schedule as the others.
It is also wise to take a break every once in a while; Let yourself have a breather. Maybe have a little vacation to set your mind free to have a refreshing start for work.
Having a trusted someone to work for you and help while you are away or just working, in general, would be a big help. Hence, if you still do not have an assistant to share your work with, maybe it’s time to consider having one. Here are five benefits of hiring a virtual assistant.
